Obituary For Vassily Renato Goode
Vassily Renato Goode, age 65 of 109 Kilgore Drive, Kings Mountain, NC was born in Salisbury, NC. He departed this life Wednesday night, September 2, 2026 at his residence.
Son of the late Richard Willie Goode and the late Willie Mae Goode, Vassily was born on March 8, 1961 in Rowan County. He attended Kings Mountain High School and joined the military serving his country in the United States Army. After service, Vassily worked as a chef and later on he worked in manufacturing.
Vassily was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter Lee Goode.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories: his spouse, Melissa Wilson Goode, four sisters, Valerie G. Davis, Vivien G. Turner (John), Violet R. Goode all of Kings Mountain, NC and Rachel Y. Goode of Grover, NC. He also leaves behind his loving God-daughter – like a daughter, Treasure Hickson of Shelby, NC, special niece, Brandi G Young of Charlotte, NC, special nephew, Calvin E. Goode, two step-daughters, Sherika Wilson of Shelby, NC and La’Shanta Wilson of Detroit, Michigan, mother in-law, Mary Armstrong of Winston Salem, NC, sister-in-law, Tammie Wilson of Shelby, NC, aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the thought that he is now at peace, reunited with those he loved and missed.
A memorial and committal service will take place at a later date.
With heartfelt humility and profound gratitude, the Goode Family extends our thanks to each of you who has been there to comfort us during this time. Your many expressions of kindness extended to us is deeply appreciated. May God bless you and richly reward you for your acts of love and compassion.
