Obituary For Melba Clinton Kimble
Melba Clinton Kimble was born December 12,1953 in Kings Mountain. She was the daughter of the late Darnelle B. Williams and Willie James Clinton.
The Lord called her home to be with Him on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Melba was educated in the Kings Mountain School System and graduated with the class of 1972.
Melba gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. R.L. Garvin. She was a devoted member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and served in many capacities as a member of the Inspirational and Adult Choirs, Vacation Bible School, BTU, Young Adult Missionary and Women of Zion.
Preceded in death by her brother, Johnnie Richard Clinton, and sister Frances Clinton, Melba leaves to cherish her memory her husband James A. Kimble, her daughter Donna M. Clinton, her grandsons Malik Osborn (Kayla), and Justin Osborn. Her bonus children, Rhonda Williams (David, Nate' Jefferson (Tarsha), Antwan Kimble, Corey Kimble, and Anthony Mackins. Goddaughter Kelli Putman (Montero). Bonus grandchildren, Haley Williams, Kala Williams, Talysha Jefferson, Chase Jefferson, and Lauren Jefferson. God-grandchildren, Kaia Putman, and Andrew Putman. Her sisters, Barbara Jamerson, and Theresa Stokes (Michael). Her brothers Alan Jamerson (Thirffern), and Maurice Jamerson (Wanda). Sister in law, Betty Davis and brother in law, Perry Kimble. Her best friend, Katherine Pendergrass. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church located on Watterson Street in Kings Mountain. Burial took place at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
