Pauline Washburn Parker was born May 18, 1923 in Rutherfordton, NC to the late Otis Washburn and Luella Littlejohn Washburn. She departed this life on August 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Uzza Parker and four sisters; Katie Mae, Mattie Lee, Farie Lee and Marie.
At early age, Mrs. Parker joined Wells Springs Methodist Church in Forest City, NC and received her Christian foundation there. Later, after marriage, she joined St. Paul United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain. She remained member until ailing health slowed her attendance. She loved her church and served as head of the Senior Usher Board. She was also a member of the Women’s Society and a Communion Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her foot soldiers, Terry and Jackie Morgan, Janet Martin, Jeanette Parker, Craig Parker and Judy Hafler. These people were a blessing in the care of Aunt Pauline.
A special blessing goes out to the late Hattie Smith(Billy). Because of the tremendous services of this kind and wonderful woman, Aunt Pauline’s life was enriched far more than mere words can express.
Funeral Services were held August 8, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial took place at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
